Mood:
Not too shabby.
My shoulder is feeling better, still a bit tight and sore, but overall ok. I said I would share the story behind the mystery injury, so here it is:
I left my friend’s house late Thursday night and was putting a few things into the car. It was dark and quiet, so I got a little worked up and the paranoid thoughts began darting through my head. A few years ago I was mugged in a stairwell of an NYC apartment. It was scary to say the least. Anyway, that experience has made me a little jumpy when I’m alone and not at home. Not all the time, but sometimes. Thursday night was one of those sometimes. So I started to tense up, shoving my things into the backseat and hopping into the car. I reached for the door fast and slammed. Then OW. Tense muscles + fast movement = pulled shoulder.
I know. Boo hoo. On to food.
Food:
Breakfast: We’re meeting friends at 11:00 am for brunch at Eastside Cafe (this place gets two greenthumbs up!). But I woke up hungry and wanted a little something to tide me over. I had one cup of organic low-fat vanilla yogurt and 1/4 cup of Yogi Granola Crisps.
The Yogi Crisps were on sale at Whole Foods for $3. Sweet & crunchy.
I’m a Fage fan. No muss, no fuss—no added flavors or sugars. It’s the only yogurt we really buy. But a friend is doing a vegan cleanse and gave us all of her dairy! We scored some Stoneyfield Low-Fat French Vanilla yogurt; not bad.
Doesn’t food feel fancier when it’s served it a wine glass? Classy, classy. 🙂
Must do dishes, get dressed, and go.
